Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality in Use

You may or may not have heard about a new app for the Android and iPhone that allows you to point your camera at a store and it can show you information about it. It is called augmented reality. I know this app has been around for a while but I still think it is pretty revolutionary technology. In the future this technology can be applied to glasses. Stores, attractions, even turn-by-turn directions can use augmented to make life a little bit easier and more digital. This, when applied to other apps and software, can be very useful. Augmented reality doesn’t always have to apply to places, it can apply to products too! You point your camera at a product and it can show the prices of it at different stores. This augmented reality is also coming to webcams too! Although I don’t have a Android I am very interested in this technology.

My Cats

Hello world. I know I haven’t posted in a while and that is because nothing post-worthy has happened to me in a while. To break this silence I will post a short biography on my cats. I have 2, Bob and Pape. First I will start with Bob.

This is Bob

(Side note the date on the pictures are incorrect) We got Bob from a friend who found him as a stray. Bob wandered into his office space and became the office cat for a few years. We think this is where he developed his love for paper and boxes and also his name. When the office couldn’t keep him anymore our friend offered to keep him. Bob stayed at his house for a while until he had to go on a business trip. We took him for a week to take care of him but when the time came to give him back we got attached to him and couldn’t give him back so we kept him and we had ever since. He is a cuddlely cat so he loves to snuggle up to you but if you take away his toys he can get angry and start attacking  and biting your foot. He is my favorite but don’t tell Pape that.

My Cat Pape

My cat Pape on the other hand is a completely a different story. He is the exact opposite of Bob. We found him in inner-city Cleveland. We call him “getto cat”. He is a violent cat. He freely goes around the neighborhood chasing moles, squirrels, and chipmunks. All of our neighbors love him because he gets rid of all their pests. Pape probably loves one of our neighbors more then us because they give him food and treats. Pape treats them as his second home because sometimes they even let him inside. Pape even sometimes has his crazy moments where he goes running around aimlessly in the house, almost like he is chasing a ghost. O.o

The Campout is Over

Today the camping trip is coming to a close and we are going to celebrate it by seeing The Phantom of the Opera at the playhouse square in Cleveland. I heard from a friend that The Phantom of the Opera has the best music of all musicals. I have never seen it but I am really excited. Also I am a bit glad that the camping is all over. My legs were killing me on the last day.

Birthday Party

Today is my sisters birthday party. Even though her birthday is in February, she wanted a summer party. She has been having a party at the camp for the past three years we have been there! We go camping a lot but once a year we go on a 10 day camping trip. My sister usually has her party during this campout. I just hope that we won’t get yelled at when all her girl friends cause mass destruction.

Amish General Store

Today we did the same thing we usually do at camp: we woke up and went to the beach to canoe. Then we go on our boat and swim in the lake. After that we eat lunch and just hang around relaxing until evening. Last we take a sunset cruise on the boat and play cards or relax until we go to sleep. But today we ate at a Amish general store/deli. They had tons of stuff there for sale like old candy, toys, and books! Though we didn’t buy anything there we did have a good sandwich from their deli.

Biking

Today I took a 22 mile bike ride. It was fun until the last 4 miles where it got unbearably hot outside. We stopped at an East of Chicago pizza place and got something to eat and drink to cool off. We stayed there for an hour until it got at least a bit cooler outside but it didn’t. When we got back we went swimming in the lake because of the heat and now I’m cool and happy. The only thing that could make it better is cheese fries . Those make everything better

Wifi Found!

I have found a wifi hot spot near my campsite. Though I’m not going to use it much I still can post things. It’s kinda weird that the camp set up wifi.

Camping

I am going on a camping trip soon. It is a beautiful campsite and I am really excited. I get back on August 1st and I leave tomorrow so this might be the last post until I get back. Have a great week.

Learned to Dance

I learned to dance today. I did the cha-cha, the mambo, and the waltz. I originally thought that dancing wouldn’t be that fun but it was pretty cool, though I won’t make it my hobby.
